As usual wedding cakes have few layers and Chinese do love high wedding cakes with 5-6 layers. This is due to the meaning or symbolize of cake towards the newlyweds. The higher the cakes, the better success may gained by the newlyweds (步步高升）, Chinese said so. Besides that, wedding cakes also symbolizes wealth of the family, am i rite?

For me, I prefer to have some cupcakes rather than those “tall” cakes which may be a waste of money and food if we couldn’t finish it at last. Cupcakes are so lovely and adorable. Any words or decorative items could be placed on it.
