I found a YES and a NO for this question.
A forumer claims that his snails eat poop (shit). I put two of my fancy guppies in a container to transfer them. I also put a snail in the container. I noticed my guppies went to the bathroom quite often and I noticed the snail kind of sucked in the poop but did not spit it back out…
Results from Snail Faq page:

In conclusion, I have no answer for this! Hahaha! But for sure, rabbits and some dogs (dogs prefer cat’s shit) eat shit. Do you know that?

allison, kenwooi, khairul>rabbits and hamster eat their own shit (continue digestion) but snail eats others shit to absorb nutrients from other animal’s shit (in the photo above). However,dog eats their own shit and cat’s shit because cat’s shits are high in protein!
